Chainalysis is seeking a Head of Policy for the APAC region to lead its policy and regulatory affairs function across Singapore, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. This is a director-level role responsible for developing and executing market-specific policy and regulatory engagement strategies, serving as the primary liaison to key regulators including MAS, AUSTRAC, FSC/FSS, and JFSA. Key responsibilities include: - Serving as primary liaison to policy and regulatory stakeholders across APAC markets, including financial regulators and law enforcement agencies - Developing and executing market-specific policy engagement strategies that position Chainalysis as a trusted partner on digital assets and AML/CTF - Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators and government officials through consultations, roundtables, and public-private partnerships - Representing Chainalysis in regional policy, legislative, and regulatory discussions as a spokesperson - Drafting and coordinating responses to regulatory consultations and proposed rules across priority markets - Monitoring regulatory and policy developments and providing actionable analysis to internal stakeholders - Partnering with APAC leadership, government solutions, and account teams to identify engagement opportunities - Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to align products and go-to-market strategies with local regulatory expectations The role requires deep expertise in blockchain analytics, digital assets, and their regulatory implications. You will be expected to demonstrate AI fluency and take ownership of leveraging AI tools to enhance policy analysis and stakeholder engagement. REQUIREMENTS: - Significant experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, or financial crime within financial services, fintech, digital assets, or related sectors - Direct experience engaging with financial regulators and government stakeholders in APAC, particularly Singapore, Australia, South Korea, and/or Japan - Strong understanding of AML/CTF, financial crime, cybercrime, and regulatory frameworks and their impact on technology-enabled businesses - Demonstrated understanding of and interest in digital assets and their regulatory, compliance, and enforcement implications - Proven ability to establish credibility and trust with senior government officials and regulators - Track record of supporting successful regulatory or government affairs initiatives with enterprise-wide impact - Experience representing an organization externally in regulatory consultations, industry forums, and public-private partnerships - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including policy papers, consultation responses, and executive briefings - Experience working cross-functionally with legal, product, engineering, sales, and commercial teams in global or matrixed organizations NICE TO HAVE: - Advanced degree in public policy, international affairs, law, economics, or related field - Professional experience in digital asset regulation, public policy, financial crimes, cybercrime, tax, traditional financial services, or financial consumer protection - Prior experience working at or closely with regulators such as MAS, AUSTRAC, FSC/FSS, JFSA, or other relevant government agencies - Experience supporting regulatory strategy across multiple APAC jurisdictions - Experience managing external advisors, industry associations, or strategic policy alliances
