Halter is a venture-backed agtech company transforming sustainable grazing practices globally. The company uses innovative technology to enable farmers and graziers to run more productive and sustainable operations without traditional constraints like quad bikes, dogs, or fences.
You will lead marketing for Halter's expansion into Argentina and Uruguay—one of the world's largest cattle regions. This is a full-funnel revenue role where you own acquisition, expansion, and retention outcomes. You are accountable for local marketing strategy and pipeline generation, thinking like a revenue owner first and marketer second.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and own the complete marketing strategy and budget for the region, driving Halter from early-market entry to category leadership and one of the company's largest revenue markets.
- Build organic growth through SEO-driven farmer resources, owned channels, and organic social that positions Halter as the trusted voice in cattle.
- Partner with sales leadership on events strategy—field days, expos, and farmer gatherings—that directly feed territory manager pipelines.
- Create a library of farmer case studies and proof points serving both acquisition and expansion/retention use cases.
- Manage paid traffic channels with sharp focus on customer acquisition cost (CAC) and pipeline contribution.
- Support enterprise/larger-account pipeline where buying committees and sales cycles differ from owner-operator farms.
- Own accountability for pipeline, CAC, brand awareness, and full revenue metrics across the funnel.
- Adapt Halter's global brand and tone of voice for Argentinian and Uruguayan farmers—language, imagery, humor, and market-specific messaging.
- Build ROI case studies and storytelling that address actual farmer objections (price, proof, switching risk) rather than generic feature messaging.
- Build and lead a high-performing, efficient marketing team, scaling the function in a fast-paced environment while balancing execution with team development.
You will have full support from Halter's global marketing team based in New Zealand HQ, with brand frameworks and strategic thinking that enable fast execution without reinventing the wheel. However, ultimate accountability for regional results rests with you.
Halter is office-first but flexible when needed, with a high-trust culture. The company is backed by Tier 1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, BOND, DCVC, Blackbird, Promus Ventures, and others.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Full-funnel revenue thinker with proven ownership of acquisition, expansion, and retention outcomes—not just top-of-funnel demand generation. Pipeline and revenue contribution thinking is essential.
- Deeply customer-led: energized by time on farm with cattle farmers, translating firsthand understanding into commercial decisions on messaging, proof points, and channels.
- Builder and world-class operator with experience scaling a marketing or growth function in fast-paced environments. Comfortable both rolling up sleeves as an executor and giving team space to learn.
- Genuinely commercial: demand to be measured on revenue numbers, move fast on data-backed bets, thrive on real-time results.
- First-principles thinker: use global frameworks because they're smart, know when local market demands something different, and can make that case with evidence.
- Strong operator across brand and demand: equally comfortable in tone-of-voice and CAC/ROI conversations, moving between them with ease.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: prefer owning outcomes and figuring out the path over waiting for fully specified briefs.
- AI-forward as default operating mode: use AI to draft and iterate content, personalize outreach at scale, and analyze campaign/funnel data faster than traditional teams. Treat headcount as last resort after pressure-testing AI capabilities.
