Revolut is a global fintech super app serving 75+ million customers with products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The company is seeking a Head of Legal to lead the legal function in India, managing complex regulatory and commercial matters in one of the world's fastest-growing fintech markets.
In this role, you will advise on compliance and legal issues surrounding the structuring of new and existing financial products in India. You'll negotiate commercial agreements with external partners, including third-party, operations, services, and marketing contracts. A key responsibility is interpreting and monitoring regulatory guideline changes, proactively handling regulatory developments, and advising internal stakeholders on implications.
You will liaise with specialist external counsel on new products, market expansion, and compliance matters. You'll design and implement processes for efficient contract negotiation and operations, develop and maintain form agreements and contract management systems. As lead counsel on strategic deals, you'll resolve issues in existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation disputes.
Additional responsibilities include driving ongoing compliance review processes, managing necessary filings, policies, and procedures, and providing time-sensitive support on legal inquiries across the organization.
You bring 10+ years of legal experience in regulated entities in India, with in-depth understanding of the local regulatory landscape and its application to digital banking. You have expertise in financial regulations related to payments and banking services. You excel at communication and stakeholder management, remain calm under pressure, and thrive in fast-paced, high-performance environments. You're comfortable making decisions with ambiguity, provide strategic leadership while staying hands-on, and navigate complex legal issues under tight deadlines. Experience in regulated startups, scaling banking operations, and technology legal matters (corporate structuring, intragroup arrangements) is valued.
