Trustpilot is a profitable, high-growth FTSE-250 company and the world's largest open customer review platform. The company is pursuing a bold people strategy centered on becoming a Destination Employer, where internal communication plays a critical role in connecting employees to purpose, vision, and strategy.
As Head of Internal Communication, you will own how Trustpilot communicates internally. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad organizational influence. You will shape the channels, tools, and guidance that enable effective information flow across the company while partnering strategically with leaders and teams on critical communication moments—from helping leaders land difficult messages to supporting major change programs and ensuring global teams have the information needed to succeed.
You will work closely with the Head of Experience & Events to ensure consistent storytelling across company announcements, weekly stand-ups, newsletters, and major milestones. The key distinction: Experience & Events owns predictable, rhythmic activities (all-hands, quarterly strategy updates, annual recognition events); Internal Communication owns dynamic, business-driven work that shifts based on organizational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
**Strategic Partnering:** Act as an embedded communication partner to high-impact business areas, currently the Commercial function (450-person, customer-facing team) and key People programs (end-of-year cycles, promotions). You will design and deliver fit-for-purpose communication ecosystems including global and regional all-hands, leadership announcements, and operational information flows. Partner with executive and senior leadership on communication planning and messaging for major strategic initiatives, organizational change, and business transformation.
**Channels & Tooling:** Own the structure of internal communication systems—Slack channel architecture, intranet, and digital screens—ensuring the system functions effectively. Manage the all-company announcement calendar to give important messages appropriate visibility and prevent conflicts or buried communications.
**Guidance & Enablement:** Build communication capability across Trustpilot through guides, training, AI-enabled tools, and other resources. Enable approximately 220 leaders to communicate brilliantly by providing templates, guidance, and confidence to lead their teams through change, strategy, and everyday updates.
You will operate in a flexible hybrid model with an expectation of two days per week in the London office. Occasional travel within Europe and potentially to New York is required.
**Requirements:**
- Significant experience in internal communication, employee engagement, or related field with a strong track record of operating at a strategic level
- Trusted, credible partner who builds relationships quickly, influences senior stakeholders, and works effectively across all levels and business areas
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to flex priorities as the business evolves
- Strategic thinker who can also execute tactically—equally comfortable shaping strategy and managing implementation details
- Confident communicator, storyteller, and facilitator with ability to bring simplicity to complexity and turn complicated briefs into clear, compelling communication
- Highly organized and detail-oriented while maintaining clear view of bigger picture and strong bias for action
- Data- and insight-driven, using feedback, engagement data, and communication metrics to measure impact and improve continuously
- Creative and curious with appetite for experimenting with new channels, formats, technology, and AI-enabled ways of working
