Baba is a Series A applied AI lab modernizing risk and care delivery for Medicare beneficiaries. As Head of Finance & Revenue Operations, you will build and lead the finance and accounting function from the ground up, reporting directly to the CEO. You will own cash forecasting and the operating model, accounting for acquisition spend, RCM collection lag, deferred revenue, and complex payment cycles across clinicians, contractors, and partners. You will manage the monthly close working with external accounting firms, handle multi-entity accounting across MSOs and professional corporations, maintain audit readiness, and produce board and investor reporting packages.
You will own critical unit economics and KPIs including Cost Per Lead, CAC by channel, lead-to-enrolled-to-billing conversion, revenue per patient, gross margin, and net revenue retention. You will manage the RCM Lead and be accountable for total collected revenue, including days in AR, clean claim rates, denial overturn rates, and payer-specific collection lag analysis.
The ideal candidate has 5–12+ years in FP&A, operating finance, or finance leadership at healthcare services or health tech companies with fast growth and meaningful working-capital constraints. You should have owned monthly closes, board packages, operating models, and cash forecasts that leadership actually used to run the business. Deep understanding of provider-side healthcare revenue—Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, payer contracting, and collection dynamics—is essential. Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany flows, and navigating financial statement audits and payer/Medicare billing audits is required. You are analytical and hands-on, building models yourself and comfortable in the ledger. You have managed people and can develop an RCM leader and finance team. You thrive in ambiguity, bias toward action, and prefer clear answers with stated assumptions over waiting for perfect data. Interest in rethinking finance and accounting processes with AI and engineering is a plus.
