Tabby, a $3.3B-valued fintech unicorn operating across the GCC region, is seeking a Head of Finance (Financial Control) to lead finance operations for its Saudi entity, Tabby Financing Company CJSC. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring robust financial reporting, statutory compliance, and governance.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing for KSA operations with a D+3 target, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS standards (particularly IFRS 9, 15, 16), SOCPA accounting standards, ZATCA tax regulations (CIT, Zakat, VAT, WHT, CTDF), and SAMA prudential reporting requirements.
• Oversee treasury and liquidity management, including bank account management, merchant settlements, payment mandates, and approval workflows.
• Manage external audits and deliver audit-ready financial statements with comprehensive documentation.
• Establish, document, and strengthen internal controls across all finance processes to meet regulatory and audit standards.
• Support IFRS 9 provisioning and ECL (Expected Credit Loss) calculations for customer and merchant receivables.
• Drive the company's ERP re-platforming initiative to Oracle NetSuite, ensuring system integrations align with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and submit statutory and prudential reports to SAMA and tax filings to ZATCA on schedule.
• Manage intercompany and transfer pricing compliance in coordination with Group Tax.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing local finance team in KSA.
• Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations to ensure finance readiness for new product launches (wallet, BNPL, cards, remittance, loyalty/cashback).
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; SOCPA qualification is required (CPA, ACCA, CMA also considered if SOCPA-eligible).
• 8–12+ years of experience in controllership, statutory reporting, or finance leadership in fintech, banking, payments, or Big 4 financial services audit.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local KSA accounting and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory reporting (SAMA, ZATCA) and external audit management.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite; e-invoicing platforms (ClearTax or equivalent) a plus.
• Advanced Excel proficiency; SQL and data analysis experience preferred.
• Proven track record building and leading finance teams.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
• High integrity and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-growth environment.
