Stord is building a new business line that transforms its e-commerce fulfillment network into high-value training data for embodied AI and robotics. As Head of Embodied AI Data Foundry, you will be the first dedicated hire for this initiative, reporting directly to the CTO and Co-Founder, with end-to-end ownership of strategy, product, customers, operations, and P&L.
You will lead customer discovery and close initial pilots with humanoid robotics companies, AI labs, and physical AI teams. You'll engage directly with technical leaders to understand training data requirements and translate those into products Stord can deliver. You own the data product roadmap across quality tiers—from RGB egocentric video to depth-enhanced multimodal datasets with hand pose, annotations, and metadata.
You will stand up the warehouse-based data capture program, including camera and rig selection, participant enrollment, edge processing, data pipelines, and dataset packaging. You'll coordinate across warehouse operations, engineering, and customers to deliver datasets on spec and on schedule.
You'll hire and lead a small, highly senior team, scaling it as the business grows. You'll set technical direction, make architecture decisions, and ensure the team builds the right systems. This is a true builder-operator role with structural advantages: direct access to one of the largest independent e-commerce fulfillment networks in the U.S., a rapidly growing buyer market in robotics and AI, and close partnership with founders.
