Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Director-level Head of Electrical Strategic Supply Chain to architect and execute sourcing strategy across all electrical commodities including semiconductors, wire harnesses, connectors, PCBAs, passives, and active discrete components.
You will lead a high-performing team to build a resilient, scalable supply chain capable of rapid scaling from New Product Introduction (NPI) to high-volume production. This role navigates complex geopolitical landscapes, tightly regulated defense supply channels, and constrained global commodity markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing comprehensive global commodity strategies across electrical sub-tiers (ICs, SoCs, microcontrollers, FPGAs, power electronics, custom assemblies, connectors, passives)
- Building, mentoring, and leading a team of commodity managers, strategic sourcing leads, and technical sourcing engineers across multiple global sites
- Serving as executive sponsor for Tier 1 suppliers, Contract Manufacturers, and critical technology partners; establishing long-term strategic alliances and joint development agreements
- Partnering with Electrical Engineering and Hardware Architecture teams from concept phase to drive "Design for Supply Chain," alternate component qualifications, and standardization
- Leading high-stakes negotiations for master service agreements, development agreements, long-term supply agreements, and complex statements of work
- Proactively identifying single-source dependencies, geopolitical vulnerabilities, and capacity constraints; driving dual-sourcing and strategic inventory strategies
- Championing should-cost modeling, teardown analyses, and total cost of ownership evaluations
- Conducting regular operational and strategic reviews with C-suite leadership
Required: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related technical discipline; 10+ years in electrical/electronics strategic sourcing or supply chain leadership in complex hardware manufacturing; 5+ years building and scaling procurement/supply chain teams; expertise negotiating enterprise-level agreements and managing diverse commodity portfolios; proven track record managing supplier lifecycles and multi-million-dollar commercial agreements; deep understanding of NPI workflows and scaling from prototype to production; ability to travel 25-50% domestically and internationally; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa if not local.
Preferred: Bachelor's in electrical engineering; prior experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries.
