RentSpree is seeking a Head of Data to lead a unified Data organization (Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Data Strategy) reporting directly to the CTO. The company operates a rental infrastructure platform serving 4 million users across 300+ real estate partnerships, and is looking to turn data into a core competitive advantage through proprietary rental datasets and ML-driven products.
In this player-coach role, you will manage managers while remaining hands-on—fluent in SQL and data warehouse design, able to review models, question metric definitions, and maintain credibility with both analysts and the executive team. You'll define what data should do for the business strategically, not just what dashboards it produces.
Key responsibilities include: partnering with executives and product to drive strategy through data and translate company vision into data capabilities; owning the strategic data asset and ML roadmap (pricing, lead scoring, propensity, screening risk); building the GTM data foundation with unified customer profiles, segmentation, and journey tracking for Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success; establishing data governance, quality standards, and a strong data culture; and operating across globally distributed teams in Seattle and Bangkok.
This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days/week in the Seattle office. Paid relocation is available. You'll bring clarity, accountability, and a bias for action to everything you do, helping RentSpree make renting faster, fairer, and less stressful.
