PHC Global is seeking a Head of Data to own the data strategy, architecture, and governance that underpins the company's AI-driven biosurveillance platform. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building the data pipelines, stores, and standards that transform global biosurveillance signals into trustworthy, well-governed assets for the platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and executing data strategy and architecture across the organization
- Establishing governance frameworks, data quality standards, and security protocols
- Curating high-signal data assets and defining context boundaries for AI models
- Directing AI agents to build and maintain data infrastructure
- Ensuring data lineage, quality, and integrity across all systems
- Guaranteeing the trustworthiness of data used by U.S. government partners to detect, characterize, and attribute biological threats
You will work with an AI-forward team that leverages modern ML tooling and AI agents to operate at scale beyond traditional methods. Rather than hands-on pipeline development, you will focus on strategic data curation, governance, and quality assurance. Your technical judgment will govern every output, and you will be accountable for the integrity of data that supports critical national security functions.
This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, governance, and quality management, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and establish organizational data standards.
