Nash is a logistics AI company that powers delivery operations for major brands including Walmart, 7-Eleven, Ahold Delhaize, and Square. The platform plans, dispatches, and adjusts deliveries in real time, already integrating with drones and autonomous vehicles. Backed by a16z, Y Combinator, and OpenAI, Nash is establishing a new category called autonomic logistics—systems that plan, run, and improve delivery operations continuously and autonomously.
You will be Nash's first Head of Corporate Communications, owning how the company is understood by press, analysts, customers, partners, and internal teams. You'll report to the Chief Growth Officer (with experience at Twilio, Plaid, and Salesforce) and work closely with the CEO on his external voice, alongside a small, senior, fast-moving team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning Nash's corporate narrative across press, analysts, customers, partners, and internal communications, working alongside Product Marketing on positioning
- Building media programs across business, technology, and trade press (supply chain, retail, grocery, autonomous delivery)
- Building analyst relations from scratch to establish autonomic logistics as a recognized category with Nash as the reference point
- Preparing the CEO and senior leaders as spokespeople with distinct voices and clear points of view
- Managing internal communications to ensure the team hears important news first
- Converting customer wins into public proof with verifiable metrics
- Owning crisis management, issues, speaking engagements, awards, and agency relationships
The role requires editorial judgment to distinguish between announcements the company wants to make and stories reporters actually want to write. You'll need business fluency to understand why customers buy from Nash and what technical buyers push back on, ensuring coverage drives sales outcomes. You must maintain composure during potential crises (e.g., when AI-driven logistics fail in the physical world) with pre-planned responses. The role is AI-native: you'll use Claude to research reporters, build monitoring systems, and prepare executives for interviews, while ensuring all external communications sound authentically human-written.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in communications with in-house leadership at a high-growth B2B technology company, OR senior agency experience with genuine appetite to move in-house
- Proven track record building or leading an analyst relations program for a complex enterprise platform
- Real relationships with business, technology, and trade press, with demonstrated placement success
- Experience preparing C-level executives as spokespeople
- Proficiency using Claude or equivalent LLM as a core part of research, preparation, and workflow—beyond basic copy editing
- Exceptional writing ability, strong opinions held loosely, and discretion to handle confidential information
- Bonus: analyst-side experience, category creation at infrastructure/logistics/autonomy companies, or established public writing presence
- Location: Bay Area (hybrid) or US remote
