You will build and own the entity's FCRA compliance program from the ground up, including policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and periodic testing. This is a comprehensive leadership role spanning multiple dimensions: you'll run consumer relations end-to-end (dispute intake, reinvestigation, file disclosure, identity theft blocks, fraud alerts); design and enforce permissible purpose controls; establish reasonable procedures to assure maximum accuracy and the monitoring to demonstrate effectiveness; partner with Engineering and Product to build dispute and disclosure infrastructure; serve as the compliance point of contact for client third-party risk diligence and regulator/state AG/litigation matters; and own consumer complaint handling across CFPB and state channels, routing insights back into procedure and product improvements.
This role requires someone comfortable operating as a function of one in an early-stage environment, doing operational work personally before a team or tooling exists, while building scalable systems for rapid growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years in consumer financial services compliance, including hands-on FCRA experience at a consumer reporting agency
- Demonstrated experience building a compliance program from scratch or materially rebuilding one (not solely administering an inherited program)

- Comfort as a function of one in early-stage environment, including performing operational work personally before team/tooling exists
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States
- Preferred: JD, CRCM, CIPP-US, or CAMS; experience at a nationwide specialty CRA; Metro 2 and e-OSCAR fluency; exposure to CFPB examination, state AG inquiry, or FCRA litigation; background in identity, fraud, or alternative data
