Chamber Cardio is rebuilding the system for cardiology by partnering with independent cardiologists to lead population health efforts. The company combines clinical expertise, thoughtful design, and modern operating platforms to support physicians, patients, and payers.
You will be Chamber's first Head of Compliance, reporting to the General Counsel. This is a strategic role that will scale from a high-leverage individual contributor into a leadership function as the business grows. You will design, operationalize, and lead a comprehensive compliance program spanning regulatory and corporate compliance, clinical compliance, government programs, and IT/security oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
Regulatory & Corporate Compliance: Own compliance strategy and risk assessment across entity structure, state-by-state licensure, and corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) requirements. Build government programs compliance capability for Medicare marketing and member communications. Establish compliance governance cadence including Compliance Committee preparation, leadership reporting, and risk escalation.
Privacy & HIPAA: Own privacy and HIPAA compliance operations including policy maintenance, incident response, investigations, training, and partnership with Legal and Security on data protection.
Clinical Compliance: Partner with the Clinical team to standardize compliance around care management and clinical program designs. Embed compliance into new workflows, programs, technology, AI-enabled tools, and market expansion. Support credentialing oversight.
IT & Security Compliance: Partner with the Security lead to maintain training programs, SOC2, HITRUST, and related certifications.
Internal Audit: Build and run an internal audit function with policy review cadence, SOP verification, and ongoing risk monitoring. Establish processes for compliance intake, investigations, root-cause analysis, remediation tracking, and resolution.
In your first 90 days, you will step into the compliance lead role supporting Chamber's direct CMS contract, create a centralized GDMT compliance framework with clear SOPs, launch an internal audit process, and deliver a leadership-ready risk assessment.
You bring 10+ years of healthcare compliance leadership with experience in value-based care, managed care, population health, or payer-facing care models. You have deep knowledge of HIPAA/privacy, CPOM, fee splitting, licensing, credentialing, AKS/FWA, False Claims Act, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements. You have hands-on experience with government programs including Medicare, Medicaid, and ACOs. You are comfortable building practical compliance programs from scratch in early-stage, multi-state environments and excel at cross-functional leadership across legal, clinical, security, and business teams.
