Apple's Hardware Program Management organization is seeking a Program Manager to lead PMIC (Power Management IC) silicon validation hardware programs end-to-end, from initial board design through factory builds, field deployment, and ongoing support for validation engineers. This is an individual contributor role embedded in Apple's chip development process, responsible for driving the validation hardware programs that enable advanced PMICs to progress from first bring-up to production release.
You will coordinate all aspects of hardware development, including requirements definition, design, implementation, and resolution of complex technical issues. Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinate development hardware requirements from multi-functional teams
• Track project schedules across all development phases to ensure hardware development milestones are met
• Run development hardware builds, craft and manage build matrices for various hardware configurations
• Manage factory teams to meet build objectives and drive allocation requests
• Distribute hardware across multi-functional teams based on program needs
• Support development hardware requirements for product and IC design teams
• Engage with operations teams to drive material delivery for builds
• Drive resolution of technical issues between multi-functional teams
• Convert large datasets into clear narratives for communication across organizational levels
• Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution
• Provide focused issue reporting and clear communication of program risks and status
• Maintain technical understanding of system design and silicon validation planning
To succeed, you will need a strong technical background in board design, HW/SW integration, and ideally project management experience in system board design or FPGA development. A proven track record in dynamic engineering environments, combined with exceptional multitasking and real-time crisis management skills, is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 3+ years of experience in hardware design and/or project management
• Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably within hardware, semiconductor, silicon validation, or systems engineering environments
• Foundational understanding of hardware development and the board design lifecycle, from concept and specification through schematic review, fabrication, bring-up, and production
• Ability to manage complex, multi-functional programs with aggressive schedules and high-stakes technical dependencies
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to drive alignment across engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders without direct authority
• Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts; comfort digging into technical details to understand blockers and drive resolution
• Experience supporting silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation environments is highly desirable
