Decagon is seeking its first GTM Analytics Engineer to build foundational data infrastructure for the go-to-market organization. This is a 0-to-1 role where you'll design and own the end-to-end data pipeline that powers revenue operations, sales leadership, and executive decision-making.
You will design and build GTM data infrastructure in BigQuery, ingesting and modeling data from Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, and other GTM systems into a reliable data lake. You'll write and maintain dbt models that transform raw CRM and sales engagement tool data into clean, trusted tables for pipeline, forecasting, segmentation, compensation, and territory reporting. A key part of the role is partnering with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to translate ad hoc reporting requests into durable, well-documented data models rather than one-off queries.
You'll own data quality end-to-end—establishing testing, validation, and monitoring to ensure that numbers in Hex and other BI tools are trustworthy. As the function scales, you'll set technical standards and best practices for GTM data modeling. You'll also build and maintain data pipelines that keep GTM data fresh, accurate, and consistent as new tools and data sources are added.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of data/analytics engineering experience with hands-on ownership of ETL/ELT pipelines and dbt in production. You need strong SQL skills and direct experience building and maintaining data warehouses in BigQuery or comparable cloud platforms. Real experience with GTM data—particularly Salesforce and sales engagement platforms like Gong or Outreach in high-growth B2B companies—is essential. You should have a strong grasp of core SaaS and GTM metrics (conversion rates, ARR/NRR, win rates, sales cycle length, quota attainment) and how they're derived from underlying tool data. Experience creating dashboards and ad hoc analysis in BI tools like Hex is preferred. You have a builder mindset, excited to construct foundational infrastructure from scratch in a fast-moving environment, and strong cross-functional communication skills to work directly with sales leadership.
