Verkada is a high-growth, well-funded physical AI platform company (5.8B valuation, 1B+ annualized bookings, 30,000+ customers including 100+ Fortune 500 companies) transforming organizational security with integrated video, access control, air quality, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management solutions.
As Growth Marketing Manager for Upper Funnel, you will own Verkada's top-of-funnel campaign strategy and measurement. This is a high-autonomy, highly visible role where you'll directly shape market perception of Verkada. You'll work with a team of former investment bankers, consultants, marketers, and startup operators.
Key responsibilities:
- Creative & Story: Partner with creative teams to develop memorable campaigns; think critically about ads, messages, and formats across platforms.
- Audience Strategy: Build ideal customer profiles (ICP) and account-list targeting; optimize channel mix to reach target audiences.
- Channel & Vendor Testing: Continuously test new channels, inventory, and vendors across CTV, YouTube, LinkedIn, audio, and out-of-home to find optimal targeting and cost efficiency.
- Measurement & Incrementality: Design and interpret geo-lift tests, holdouts, and conversion lift studies; devise measurement approaches for hard-to-attribute channels like billboards and audio; own key metrics like website visitors.
- Budget Ownership: Make real spend decisions and reallocate budget based on evidence of what works.
- Learning Loop & Insights: Document all tests and learnings; translate results into next-phase planning; share insights with leadership and cross-functional teams.
You'll test channels most B2B companies never try and build the measurement infrastructure to prove what works. This role requires 5 days/week on-site at HQ in San Mateo, CA with flexible hours.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, paid media, marketing science, or startup equivalent.
- Hands-on media buying experience with confidence to make real spend decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to design and read at least one incrementality test (geo-lift, matched-market, or holdout test).
- Strong point of view on creative and storytelling; ability to explain campaign performance drivers.
- Proficiency in data analysis; SQL and Excel knowledge preferred.
- Experience with CTV, out-of-home, audio, or account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns is a plus.
- Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available.
