Allica Bank is the UK's fastest-growing fintech firm, focused on serving established SMEs—a major underserved segment representing over a third of the UK economy. The Growth team sits at the intersection of marketing, product, sales, and data, driving sustainable customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
The Growth Manager will drive effective growth across Allica's BRA (Business Relationship Account) customer journey, from onboarding through activation and deeper product usage. You will take a data-driven, hypothesis-led approach to understand customer behavior end-to-end, identify friction points, and build strategies and capabilities to move customers forward.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct deep customer behavior and cohort analysis to identify drivers of activation, engagement, and product usage, moving beyond surface patterns to root-cause understanding
- Own growth and engagement metrics that matter most for the customer journey, translating insights into strategy that shapes team and business operations
- Manage a robust experimentation pipeline, designing and prioritizing tests to ensure evidence-based decisions
- Build alignment across marketing, product, sales, relationship management, and data teams, managing stakeholder expectations to keep initiatives progressing
- Develop tools, scoring frameworks, and processes that other teams adopt and rely on
- Manage multiple concurrent objectives with accountability for outcomes, even in ambiguous, low-precedent situations
- Design and deliver insightful, visually compelling presentations that influence decision-making and align stakeholders on growth strategy
You will work with limited formal authority but strong influence, requiring excellent stakeholder management and the ability to drive work forward independently. The role demands high-quality output while maintaining pace, particularly on novel problems.
Allica offers flexible and hybrid working, full onboarding support, continued development opportunities, pension contributions, discretionary bonus, private health cover, life assurance, and family-friendly policies including enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
Requirements:
- Experience in hypothesis-led, problem-solving environments (high-growth startups, consulting, or similar) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to challenge assumptions and navigate complex, ambiguous problems using structured thinking
- Proven experience conducting complex data and performance analysis, ideally using SQL to work with large datasets
- Ability to translate customer and operational insights into clear, actionable changes across products, processes, or messaging
- Comfortable working with technical systems and integrations (CRM, analytics tools, automation platforms) to improve efficiency and scale
- High bar for quality while maintaining pace, particularly on work with limited precedent
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence and align teams with different priorities through clear, evidence-led recommendations
- Bias towards ownership and execution—able to independently drive work forward, frame problems, and recommend solutions with limited direction
