Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize American manufacturing, combining AI, robotics, and advanced software to help aerospace and defense companies build mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at lower cost. The company recently raised $1.37B in Series D funding at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, and additive manufacturing.
The Growth Finance Associate role sits at the center of Hadrian's deal economics and capital strategy. You will build financial models from scratch for major capital decisions, factory builds, new capability investments, and program-level spending. This includes scenario modeling, cash flow forecasting, and spend projections that directly inform whether Hadrian pursues opportunities and on what terms.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end financial evaluation of individual investments with transaction-level rigor (ROI, payback, cash impact); supporting corporate development and capital markets work spanning M&A, joint ventures, and equity investments; acting as the financial counterpart to engineering and manufacturing leadership; maintaining forecasts and budgets aligned to operational milestones; analyzing operational drivers that determine factory economics (labor productivity, machine utilization, throughput, unit cost); and translating complex analysis into executive and board-facing materials.
You will work across functions constantly—Production Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Automation, Accounting, Legal, and Investor Relations—carrying ambiguous, cross-functional work all the way to decision without requiring close management. The role offers a short path to owning deals outright, with scope scaling based on demonstrated capability rather than tenure.
Required: 2-5 years in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development, or strategy & operations. You must be able to build complex financial models from a blank page, demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, and have genuine curiosity about how physical manufacturing works. U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
Preferred experience includes capital-intensive industries (aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, automotive, semiconductors, energy), project finance, M&A due diligence, program management, high-growth or PE/VC-backed environments, government contracting knowledge, and NetSuite or ERP experience.
