Group Tax Reporting Manager

Teya is a Series C fintech company building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe. The Group Tax Reporting Manager will lead tax accounting, reporting, and compliance for a growing international business operating across multiple jurisdictions including the UK, Europe, and Iceland. Key responsibilities include owning group and statutory tax accounting across multiple jurisdictions; leading preparation and review of tax note disclosures aligned with accounting standards; taking ownership of deferred tax analysis and R&D tax credit claims; reviewing tax computations and ensuring accurate reflection in statutory reporting; managing tax expense reporting processes; and overseeing intercompany loan and related tax processes. The role involves managing direct tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, overseeing relationships with outsourced compliance providers, and reviewing outputs from external advisors with focus on quality and accuracy. You will help strengthen tax reporting and compliance processes, controls, and templates across the function. Broader responsibilities include supporting tax planning and global expansion initiatives, partnering with the business on tax implications of new products and transactions, assisting with intercompany analysis and group-level tax support, and contributing to VAT analysis and indirect tax matters as needed. You will work closely with the Group Tax team, Legal, Engineering, Product, wider Finance (technical accounting, controllership, FP&A, treasury), and external advisors. The ideal candidate has around 5 years of relevant tax experience, ideally from Big 4 or similarly strong technical environment, with strong international tax knowledge, hands-on experience in group tax accounting and compliance, and excellent understanding of tax reporting in financial statements. Experience managing outsourced compliance providers, corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, R&D credit claims, and exposure to tax planning and cross-border growth is essential. Preferred experience includes tax due diligence, financial statement audits, and exposure to banking or payments environments.
