As Group Cost Controller, you will own the Group's Industrial, R&D, and operational costing, working closely with the FP&A Manager to structure, develop, and continuously improve Industrial P&L, cost performance monitoring, and decision-support capabilities across multiple entities. This role combines hands-on analytical execution with higher-level structuring responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building the industrial P&L and costing framework from the ground up, defining standard cost calculation methodology, and establishing performance tracking processes
- Monitoring and challenging production and inventory performance, tracking costs and variances, and identifying deviations early
- Running industrial management cycles including monthly closings, business reviews, forecasts, and budgets
- Contributing to Odoo ERP implementation to ensure reliable inventory tracking and business-critical outputs
- Driving cost visibility and optimization across R&D and other operating costs, leading cost optimization initiatives
You will operate in a demanding environment where rigor, ownership, and execution are expected, working with operations teams on the shop floor and across engineering and procurement functions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Educational background in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5–8 years of cost or industrial controlling experience within manufacturing or complex production environments
- Expert-level Excel and strong financial modeling skills; hands-on ERP experience required
- Comfortable with BOMs, standard costs, and variance analysis
- Proven ability to build controlling frameworks from scratch rather than inherit existing ones
- Autonomous, structured mindset suited to fast-moving environments where solutions must be developed
- Strong business partnering and communication skills; curious about operations and comfortable challenging production, engineering, and procurement constructively
- Fluent in French and English
