Apex manufactures satellite buses (spacecraft platforms) at scale, combining software, vertical integration, and hardware design for manufacturing. These platforms enable earth observation, communications, and other critical space applications.
As a Graphic Designer supporting Business Development, you will create high-quality graphics and visual content to support Apex's growth across US Government, Commercial, and International Government markets. You'll produce graphics for Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and other new business opportunities, working closely with the Business Development and Sales teams to win contracts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and editing graphics and images for RFIs, RFPs, and new business opportunities
- Supporting sales teams in developing slide decks for current and prospective customers
- Overseeing the proposal development graphics library, monitoring content for updates, and communicating with internal stakeholders
- Partnering with Brand Design (Marketing) to ensure all graphics meet brand guidelines and elevate the brand visually
- Acting as a member of a cross-functional design collective (Brand/Marketing, Business Development, and UX) to ensure company-wide design excellence
- Communicating effectively with technical experts to translate complex technical concepts into clear, digestible graphics and illustrations
- Developing efficient work cadences that balance quality, timeliness, and collaboration
- Delivering high-caliber work on schedule, consistently

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design supporting a technical product and general business/administrative content
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, BD, marketing, etc.) under tight deadlines
- Meticulous, proactive, and highly organized
- Clear communicator (synchronous/asynchronous, in-person/virtual, written/spoken)
- Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills
- Coachable and team-oriented; ability to receive and offer constructive feedback
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines
- Nice to have: Figma experience
- Nice to have: Direct experience in spacecraft or spacecraft-adjacent markets
