Island is seeking a senior graphic designer to lead the visual identity and design strategy across the company. You will partner directly with executives to create investor presentations, refine brand identity, design event experiences, develop ad campaigns, and establish Island's approach to AI-enabled design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with executives to design and write presentations for investors, sales teams, and prospective customers
- Build polished PowerPoint decks from the ground up
- Evolve Island's brand identity across all touchpoints
- Design for events, including booth graphics, signage, and visual experiences
- Develop ad campaigns that carry the brand to market
- Create internal branding materials
- Use AI tools to scale design output and improve iteration speed
- Shape Island's AI design strategy and establish standards for AI use in design workflows
- Train and coach other designers on AI tools and methods
- Design in Figma for pitch visuals, brand systems, and campaign assets
- Maintain quality and consistency across all Island branded assets

Requirements:
- 3 to 10 years of professional design experience, ideally in a fast-moving company or agency
- Deep fluency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
- Real expertise in PowerPoint design; ability to design directly in PowerPoint and make it look professionally designed
- Fluency with AI design tools and demonstrated track record of using them to scale output
- A point of view on how design teams should adopt AI, with ability to translate that into clear processes
- Comfort teaching and coaching other designers
- Strong portfolio demonstrating range across brand, campaign, event, and presentation work
- Experience working with executives; ability to take direction, push back constructively, and build trust quickly
- Sharp instincts for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to write and shape headlines and narratives, not just design visuals
