Salary: USD 150,000 - 190,000 / annual

The Government Affairs Manager will lead SentiLink's advocacy strategy with Congress, federal regulators, and industry coalitions, and will direct the company's full bench of state and federal lobbyists. This role reports to the Head of Public Policy & External Affairs and offers real ownership over advocacy priorities and execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day federal advocacy, building and maintaining relationships across Congressional offices (House, Senate, both parties) with particular focus on Financial Services/Banking, Ways and Means/Finance, and Appropriations committee staff
- Direct SentiLink's contracted federal and state lobbyists and consultants, setting priorities and engagement cadence, and translating their work into insights for Public Sector sales
- Serve as trusted resource on policy issues affecting identity verification, fraud prevention, and financial services, supporting Public Sector sales cycles (RFP language, identity standards, procurement timing)
- Lead engagement with trade associations and coalitions (RDA, ETA, CBA, ABA, etc.), managing SentiLink's participation and extracting value from memberships
- Build state-level capability to monitor and report on state legislative and regulatory developments related to data brokers, privacy, and identity
- Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and represent SentiLink in meetings, hearings, roundtables, and industry events
The role requires frequent in-person engagement with stakeholders across the DC area, including Capitol Hill and federal agencies. SentiLink offers flexible working arrangements and has offices in Austin, San Francisco, NYC, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., plus Gurugram and Bengaluru in India.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in public policy, government relations, or legislative affairs, ideally combining time on Capitol Hill, at a trade association, or in a regulated fintech/financial services environment
- Working knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes, especially related to financial services or identity; ability to pick up state-level processes quickly
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with bipartisan credibility; demonstrated ability to build working relationships across the aisle, House and Senate
- Excellent writing and public speaking ability; comfortable drafting comment letters, testimony, and briefing memos; able to represent SentiLink on conference panels and in rooms with policymakers
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data
- Proactive, self-starting mindset and ability to thrive in fast-moving, cross-functional environment
- Genuine interest in developing subject-matter depth in fraud, identity, privacy, and data policy (not a generalist policy role)
BONUS: Familiarity with state legislative tracking tools, exposure to public sector sales cycles or government procurement, background in identity verification, fraud prevention, or tech policy.
