Applied Intuition is seeking a Global People Compliance & Employee Relations Partner to design and run the company's employment compliance program and support case management across all jurisdictions where they operate. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on strategic program design, not just execution. You will serve as the People team's subject matter expert on compliance, ensuring adherence across every country and state in which Applied Intuition operates. The role balances recurring compliance work—policies, audits, training, filings, and employee relations casework—with the ability to respond to new regulatory requirements and novel situations by developing repeatable processes. Key responsibilities include: **Employment Compliance Program Strategy:** Build the compliance framework and roadmap from pre-boarding through offboarding. Audit practices against legal requirements in each jurisdiction, identify exposure, and own closure plans. Define recurring compliance checks (I-9 sampling, policy attestation, training completion, pay validation) and establish metrics for compliance health visibility including risk registers, audit closure rates, and ER case volume. **Global Policy, Records & Governance:** Own the employee handbook and required employment policies. Write, maintain, and communicate policy updates while managing stakeholder expectations. Build the policy governance model with version control and centralized ownership. Leverage AI to improve policy delivery while meeting regulatory and privacy requirements. Partner with regional stakeholders on local policy alignment and work with Legal on compliance with local law. Run the employment records program alongside HRIS on data privacy, governance, retention schedules, and access controls across jurisdictions (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, local law). Monitor global legislative changes and translate them into updated policy and process. Drive compliance reporting (OFCCP, gender pay gap, time and attendance, country-specific obligations). Own the background check program and People Compliance Training through the LMS. **Employee Relations:** Develop a framework for workplace investigations and centralize case management. Maintain confidential case records and analyze trends to surface systemic issues. Applied Intuition is a $15 billion Series A company founded in 2017, headquartered in Sunnyvale with offices across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The company powers physical AI for autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture sectors. The company operates in-office with an expectation of 5 days per week in the office, with flexibility for occasional remote work. **Requirements:** - 6+ years in HR compliance, employee relations, People Operations, or employment law - Strong California employment law expertise plus multi-state experience - Global experience across APAC, EMEA, and/or MENA preferred - Professional experience in both startup and publicly traded companies - Experience working with internal and external auditors - Sound judgment on when to decide versus when to escalate to Legal and leadership - Demonstrated track record of meaningfully improving a process (audit, filing, training program, etc.) - Comfort owning a program with minimal day-to-day direction - Clear, precise writing skills for policies, investigation memos, and employee communications
