Blank Street, a food and beverage brand, is seeking a Global Head of Expansion to lead the company's international growth strategy from the New York headquarters.
In this role, you will own three interconnected pillars of expansion:
**Market Research & Prioritization**: Develop frameworks and conduct deep market research to evaluate demand, economics, operational complexity, and long-term potential across new markets. Your analysis will inform confident decisions on market entry strategy and operating structure (JV, Franchise, or O&O models). You will consolidate cross-functional inputs and present recommendations to the founders.
**Market Launch & Execution**: Own the end-to-end market entry process, serving as the single point of accountability for how Blank Street enters and launches in new markets. This includes coordinating across legal, finance, supply chain, real estate, recruiting, and marketing functions—but goes beyond coordination. You will think and operate like a founder, setting direction on critical decisions including site selection, vendor selection, and early leadership structure. You will serve as the on-the-ground launch quarterback, resolving issues in real time and ensuring successful openings that represent the highest expression of the Blank Street brand.
**Market Ownership & P&L Accountability**: During the early phase of new market launches, you will support the US and UK Presidents on P&L performance and day-to-day operations, effectively acting as the Managing Director. Responsibilities include recruiting market leadership, supporting store operations, improving product and customer experience, and guiding financial performance. Once a market reaches sufficient scale and maturity, you will lead the recruitment and onboarding of a dedicated Managing Director and ensure a clean handoff.
This is a high-impact role requiring founder-level thinking, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to drive execution across complex, multi-functional initiatives.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics or closely related field
- 3+ years of experience in expansion/market entry, or 3+ years as a business management consultant
- 3+ years of experience with PowerPoint and Excel
- 3+ years of experience with Tableau
