Aspire is a financial operating system for global founders and SMEs, combining banking, software, and automation into a single platform. You will join the Cards team as General Manager, owning the full P&L for the cards business end-to-end. This is a commercially-minded role sitting at the intersection of product, risk, and revenue, with accountability for the entire cards business rather than a single function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full P&L ownership: revenue, margin, and cost (interchange income, FX margin, card fees)
- Commercial and pricing strategy, including fee structures and network/issuer economics
- Growth across card adoption, activation, usage, and cross-sell with other Aspire products
- Product roadmap commercial priorities in partnership with Product and Engineering teams
- Partner relationships and commercial terms with card networks, issuers, and processors
- Program compliance with Risk, Compliance, and Legal (fraud, AML, regulatory rules)
- Cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance
- Forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting to leadership
You will lead a commercially-minded team and drive the cards business as a core revenue driver for Aspire's global platform.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience owning full P&L for a cards or payments business with real accountability for revenue, margin, and cost
- Strong understanding of card segments, unique selling propositions, and go-to-market approaches
- Deep grasp of card economics: interchange, FX margin, network/issuer relationships, and fee structures
- Track record of negotiating commercial terms with card networks, issuers, or processors
- Comfort operating in compliance and risk-heavy environments (fraud, AML, regulatory rules) without slowing business momentum
- Strong cross-functional leadership ability to align Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Product around shared goals
- Sharp forecasting and financial reporting skills with judgment to translate numbers into leadership decisions
- Strong grasp of artificial intelligence concepts and ability to apply AI tools (Claude, n8n, etc.) and frameworks to solve real-world problems
