Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform backed by a $10B strategic partnership with a leading frontier AI lab, Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund. The company is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era, currently 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York with rapid growth expectations.
The Global Cost Manager owns cost management across the Volta fleet, working within the project controls function. You will set cost management standards that every project runs on and maintain the portfolio-level cost picture that leadership relies on.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning cost management standards, structures, and reporting across all Volta projects
- Consolidating project cost forecasts into a single portfolio view for leadership
- Governing cost baselines and change control in partnership with project teams
- Driving accurate value-of-work-done and accrual reporting across the fleet
- Building cost benchmarking across projects, packages, and regions
- Supporting contract negotiations and procurement with robust cost data
- Coaching project controls leads on cost management best practices
- Improving cost systems, tools, and processes as the fleet scales
You will work day-to-day with project controls leads on each project, consolidating forecasts, governing change, and ensuring cost reporting means the same thing on every site in every country.
Required experience:
- Cost management experience on data center or major capital projects (essential)
- Track record managing cost across multiple concurrent projects or a portfolio
- Deep expertise in forecasting, change control, and earned value practice
- Fluency with enterprise cost management systems
- Sharp analytical skills and ability to produce clear, decision-ready reporting
- Comfort working across European and US projects and time zones
