Outset has invented AI-powered user interviews, enabling global brands like HubSpot, Microsoft, Uber, and Nestle to conduct qualitative research at unprecedented speed and scale. The company recently raised a $30M Series B (December 2025) and is experiencing 8x business growth as enterprises adopt AI-moderated research as their new standard. You will be hired as one of Outset's first Global Account Managers, owning a small portfolio of the world's largest global accounts—companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Salesforce. These are not single-company accounts; they are complex, matrixed organizations with dozens of business units, regions, and separate buying centers, each with independent budgets and procurement cycles. Outset already has strong footholds in these organizations, and your role is to transform that foothold into an enterprise-wide standard. As a senior individual contributor reporting to the VP of Sales, you will have full commercial ownership of your accounts, including expansion, cross-sell, pricing, and renewal. You will carry an aggressive seven-figure growth target and will not be chasing net-new logos or working a wide territory. Instead, you will go deep into a handful of the most strategically important companies, identifying new buying centers through referrals and in-person visits, and building multi-year relationships and plans. You will direct a dedicated account team for each global account—including Sales Development, Research Operations, an Account Director, Solutions Consultant, and executive sponsorship from leadership. You set strategy and direct effort; the resources are there to execute. Key responsibilities include: owning a portfolio of strategic global accounts with full commercial responsibility; finding new buying centers regionally and within umbrella brands via deep account understanding and referrals; exceeding aggressive seven-figure growth targets; building and maintaining live global account plans with buying center maps, whitespace analysis, competitive positioning, and expansion paths; multi-threading relationships from practitioners to C-suite; directing the extended account team across functions and time zones; running executive business reviews focused on business outcomes; negotiating and closing complex enterprise agreements (global MSAs, multi-region commitments, multi-year structures); coordinating global coverage behind a single account strategy; forecasting with precision in Salesforce; and bringing account insights back to inform product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. QUALIFICATIONS: - 10+ years in enterprise sales, including 5+ years in a named global or strategic account role (Global Account Manager, Global Account Director, Strategic Account Manager, or equivalent) owning a small book of major brands - Direct experience selling into and growing accounts of this profile—large, global, matrixed technology or consumer organizations with many buying centers, such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, or Salesforce - Proven record of exceeding aggressive seven-figure growth targets inside existing accounts (expansion, cross-sell, renewal), not just net-new logo attainment - World-class relationship management with demonstrated depth and durability; ability to point to accounts grown over years, not quarters - Executive presence and commercial sharpness; credible with CxO and VP-level buyers; consultative and comfortable negotiating at scale - Demonstrated ability to lead extended, cross-functional account teams without direct authority - Experience navigating complex global commercial structures: multi-region contracting, enterprise procurement, multi-year commitments, competing internal stakeholders - Operational rigor with real account planning methodology, accurate forecasting, and CRM discipline - High ownership, opinionated, proactive, comfortable with fast-paced decision-making and execution in a startup still building playbook - Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and San Francisco HQ - Bonus: experience selling into UX Research, Market Research, Consumer Insights, or adjacent categories (research, analytics, AI)
