You will own the full expense cycle across Thndr's group entities, ensuring every cost is recorded accurately in the right period, entity, and with proper supporting documentation. This role emphasizes judgment-heavy accounting work: accruals, prepayments, intercompany allocations, and month-end close discipline. While transaction processing is included, it is not the primary focus. Key responsibilities include: **Expense Accounting & Period-End Recognition** Record and review expenses across group entities with proper classification, cost center, and entity coding. Ensure expenses are recognized in the correct accounting period per the matching principle. Prepare and post monthly accruals for unbilled or uninvoiced expenses. Maintain and amortize prepayment schedules for SaaS subscriptions, licenses, insurance, and rent. **Intercompany Transactions** Prepare and record intercompany expense allocations and recharges with supporting documentation. Issue and track intercompany invoices in line with group transfer pricing policies. Support reconciliation of intercompany payable and receivable balances across entities. **Month-End Close** Own the expense close checklist; ensure all invoices, accruals, and prepayments are posted before deadline. Perform variance analysis on key expense lines versus budget and prior periods. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for accruals, prepayments, and intercompany balances. **Vendor Invoice Processing** Review and post vendor invoices to the correct GL account, cost center, and entity. Match invoices to approvals before posting. Support payment run preparation in line with the approved payment calendar. Maintain organized vendor documentation and the vendor master file. **Controls & Audit Readiness** Maintain audit-ready files for all expense and payables transactions. Support implementation and maintenance of internal controls around the procure-to-pay cycle. Assist with external audit requests and regulatory inspections related to expenses. This role suits someone early in their accounting career who wants to develop into a well-rounded accountant with real exposure to group close, multi-entity consolidation, and IFRS application in a regulated fintech environment. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to general ledger and month-end close work - Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and IFRS fundamentals (accruals, matching, cut-off) - Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas) - Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines - Fluency in English (written and spoken)
