iCapital is seeking a Fund Monitoring Analyst to join the Fund Monitoring, Reporting and Governance team. This role focuses on conducting ongoing investment monitoring for private market fund investments across iCapital's platform, including private equity, private credit, and real asset offerings.
Key responsibilities include monitoring underlying fund performance and preparing clear call summaries, investment updates, and talking points for internal stakeholders and wealth advisors. The analyst will conduct performance analytics and fund-level financial modeling, track macro developments through engagement with fund managers, and attend Annual General Meetings (AGMs) to receive updates. The role involves maintaining internal fund monitoring databases, communicating investment updates to both internal and external stakeholders, and preparing materials and analysis for governance colleagues on projects including secondary sales and investment oversight decisions.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience in private markets, investment banking, asset management, or investment consulting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Excel and familiarity with valuation methodologies (DCF, peer comps, etc.). The candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to travel up to 10% as required. Progress toward CFA or CAIA certification is preferred.
This is a hybrid role with office presence Monday-Thursday and remote flexibility on Fridays. The position offers exposure to the alternative investment landscape and opportunities to present to high-net-worth clients and advisors.
