Home Chef, founded in 2013, is a leading meal solutions company with both retail and online presence, available at homechef.com and in over 2,100 Kroger stores. The company also operates Tempo, a brand featuring ready-to-heat meals delivered directly to customers' doors. The FSQA Supervisor is responsible for supporting the food safety and quality control function within the company. This role combines supervision and active participation in tasks to ensure all products are safe, consistent, of the highest quality, and meet all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: **Reporting & Planning:** Assign daily and weekly responsibilities to FSQA Techs, Leads, and Sanitors; assist with development of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules; create FSQA Supervisor Recap documenting issues; monitor shift metrics and develop improvement plans. **Quality Control:** Oversee core FSQA functions for all process steps including portioning, meal bagging, and final box verification; communicate with Production Management regarding process deviations; conduct GMP audits and notify production of violations. **Food Safety:** Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks including GMP audits, metal detection verification, environmental monitoring, lab equipment calibrations, chemical titrations, pre-shipment review, and hold management; verify food safety records; hold team members accountable to food safety expectations. **Issue Escalation:** Work with FSQA Leadership to resolve food and non-food procurement quality issues; escalate decisions to leadership as needed; promptly notify leadership of food safety issues or HACCP/HACQP deviations; manage product holds and dispositions. **People Management:** Oversee training programming for new FSQA techs, leads, and sanitation associates; train, coach, and empower team members; participate in performance reviews and corrective action meetings. **General Duties:** Follow and enforce facility GMPs; support food safety systems (SQF) and quality/sanitation programs; assist in non-competitive functions when needed; maintain professional communication and teamwork. The role follows a 2nd shift schedule, working 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM with designated days off on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This position requires 5% travel. **Requirements:** - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Google applications (required) - Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (required); Spanish fluency preferred - 3+ years of experience working in food quality/food safety (preferred) - Must be able to attain ServSafe Manager certification within 30 days of hire - Ability to use, maintain, and interpret results of laboratory and quality equipment and instrumentation - Knowledge of filling and weighing equipment - Knowledge of metal detection (preferred)
