Anterior is an AI-powered healthcare administration platform backed by Sequoia, NEA, and Neo, designed to simplify clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes. As a Frontier Strategist, you will own end-to-end customer implementations of Florence, Anterior's AI-driven clinical reasoning platform, deployed into health plan operations.
You will serve as the bridge between Anterior's engineering team, clinical experts, and customer stakeholders. Your core responsibilities include: translating complex customer requirements into clear, buildable specifications that engineering can execute; designing clinical workflows and process diagrams; defining testing plans and implementation timelines; managing stakeholder consensus across internal and external teams; and presenting to senior customer leadership (VP and SVP+).
This role requires deep expertise in healthcare administration, payer operations, and the ability to decompose ambiguous, complex situations—spanning clinical policy, legacy systems, regulatory constraints, and competing stakeholder interests—into actionable plans. You will spend significant time onsite with customers, building domain expertise in utilization management, prior authorization, risk adjustment, claims processing, and interoperability standards (FHIR, Da Vinci, X12).
Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in management consulting, product management, or technical customer-facing roles at high-growth software companies. You should have a proven track record leading complex transformation programs, writing requirements documents that engineers have built from, and reasoning from first principles about technical and operational tradeoffs. Technical credibility is essential: you can read API documentation, understand data models and system architecture, and engage meaningfully in engineering discussions.
Bonus experience includes prior work in healthcare (payers, providers, or health tech), hands-on deployment of AI/LLM systems in production (evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering, retrieval, agent orchestration), or founding/early-stage operator experience. The company emphasizes apprenticeship, coaching, and rapid growth for early hires who are expected to become leaders.
