Salary: EUR 37,000 - 43,000 / annual
Roadsurfer, Europe's largest campervan rental company, is seeking a Branch Manager (Filialleitung) for its Freiburg location. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building and operating a high-performing rental station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead branch development and day-to-day operations in close collaboration with central departments and your team
- Optimize processes and implement standards for vehicle handovers, returns, and customer service
- Build and manage your team through structured onboarding, task planning, and regular feedback
- Own recruitment and talent acquisition for your location
- Manage the campervan fleet, ensuring vehicle quality and coordinating with local service partners
- Provide expert customer consultation on roadsurfer products (myroadsurfer, abo, spots, rent)
- Collaborate internationally with roadsurfer teams across other countries to continuously improve operations
- Demonstrate a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with pragmatic problem-solving
The role combines operational management, team leadership, fleet oversight, and customer-facing expertise. You'll work in a flat-hierarchy culture with strong team spirit and regular team events.
Requirements:
- Completed vocational training or university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in campervan/car rental, tourism, or related sectors; career changers welcome
- First experience in team leadership preferred; empathy and supportive leadership style essential
- Strong service and customer orientation with excellent communication skills
- Hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for a varied, pragmatic role
- Fluent German and English
- Valid Class B driver's license
