Flutterwave is a fintech company building payment infrastructure to enable African consumers and businesses to participate in the global economy. We are seeking a Fraud Desk Analyst to join our fraud prevention team and protect Flutterwave and our customers from fraudulent activity.
This is a hands-on, round-the-clock operational role requiring real-time monitoring and rapid response. You will be the frontline defense against fraud, working closely with business partners and internal teams to maintain the integrity of our payment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor transactions and fraud alerts in real time to detect suspicious or unusual activity
- Review and investigate flagged transactions and accounts, taking action (holding, blocking, or releasing) in accordance with fraud policies and procedures
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior team members and relevant internal teams
- Document investigation findings and maintain accurate case records
- Handle fraud-related inquiries from customers, merchants, and internal teams
- Identify fraud trends and patterns, sharing insights to improve detection rules and processes
- Prepare reports on fraud activity and case outcomes for senior review
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of experience in fraud monitoring, risk, transaction monitoring, or payments operations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to review data, spot patterns, and make sound decisions quickly
- Willingness and ability to work weekends and night shifts for round-the-clock coverage
- Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to projects
