Island, a fast-growing enterprise security platform backed by Coatue, Insight Partners, and Sequoia Capital, is seeking a Senior Manager of FP&A to join its Strategic Finance team at the Dallas HQ. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations, you will serve as the embedded finance partner for R&D and G&A functions, driving scalable planning processes and financial infrastructure as the company scales. You will own end-to-end planning, budgeting, and forecasting for R&D and G&A, leading annual budget cycles and quarterly forecasts in partnership with department heads. You'll develop and maintain rolling 12-month operating models, drive monthly close processes with variance analysis, and provide proactive financial analysis on headcount, vendor spend, tooling investments, and resource allocation decisions. A core responsibility is building deep fluency in SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, churn, CAC, LTV, Rule of 40, payback) and translating operational drivers into financial outcomes. You'll own KPI tracking and scalable reporting infrastructure, evaluating and implementing planning and BI tools to support the finance function's growth. You'll build models, templates, and playbooks that enable the team to move at speed without sacrificing accuracy. Required qualifications include 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience with end-to-end planning cycle ownership, at least 2 years in a manager or senior IC role. You need strong analytical and business partnering skills, expert-level financial modeling, SQL/AI tooling experience, and proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, or equivalent systems. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required; MBA is a plus. Preferred experience includes deep SaaS fluency, direct partnership with R&D and G&A functions, cybersecurity or enterprise software background, familiarity with FP&A platforms (Pigment, Adaptive Insights, Planful), and proficiency with modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini). The ideal candidate sees ambiguity as opportunity, holds themselves to exceptionally high standards on accuracy and communication, acts as a trusted partner (not just a report generator), thrives in fast-moving environments, and is a quick learner and team player. This role requires on-site presence at Dallas HQ five days per week.
