Telnyx is a profitable, industry-leading connectivity platform building a private global multi-cloud IP network and hyperlocal edge technology. The company is modernizing legacy infrastructure through innovative APIs and agentic AI systems.
This FP&A Manager role is unconventional: you'll design and build Telnyx's next-generation financial planning infrastructure from scratch, then own the forecasting and strategic analysis that runs on it. Rather than executing a pre-built process, you'll partner with an FP&A Engineer to replace the current Anaplan-style planning stack with a faster, AI-agent-driven system built on APIs and connected data flows.
Phase 1 focuses on build: designing planning, forecasting, and reporting infrastructure; building and extending agents on Telnyx's internal frameworks to eliminate manual FP&A workflows; and shaping the architecture around automation, human judgment, and model guardrails.
Phase 2 shifts to ownership: building driver-based models across revenue, gross profit, headcount, operating expenses, and cash; leading scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for investments, pricing, and hiring decisions; owning forecasting and long-range planning; and translating messy data into clear executive narratives.
Day-to-day, you'll handle urgent modeling requests (hiring decisions, revenue swings, deal assessments) and partner with Accounting, BI, and business leaders to ensure models reflect operational reality. The role demands comfort with agentic AI as a core working tool—not a side project. Telnyx employees build with AI agent frameworks daily as part of normal work. You should already build agents for work or fun, or be genuinely excited to do so in this role.
