Taekus is a profitable fintech and travel startup with $100M+ in annual revenue and $4B+ in annual transaction volume, building a premium banking and rewards ecosystem for affluent customers. The company is entering a new growth phase focused on scaling core banking systems, rewards infrastructure, and partner integrations.
As FP&A Manager, you will own the company's financial planning and analysis function, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a hands-on role focused on building and maintaining the processes and models yourself rather than managing a team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Building and maintaining financial models that connect revenue, expenses, transaction volume, customers, and rewards to unit economics and business metrics
- Producing monthly financial reporting and variance analysis with clear explanations of changes
- Supporting strategic planning, fundraising, capital planning, and major company initiatives
- Building scenario models to evaluate new products, partnerships, hiring plans, and business decisions
- Collaborating with accounting to ensure financial results are accurately reflected in models and forecasts
- Supporting ad hoc analysis and data-driven decision-making across the organization
You'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical role
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements and how operational activity flows through to financial results
- Experience owning budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Metabase, or similar)
- Fintech, banking, payments, lending, or financial services experience preferred
- Demonstrated hands-on use of AI tools to do real work
- Experience working with startups
