Sentry is seeking an FP&A Manager to build and lead the company's financial planning and analysis function with a focus on FinOps and cloud infrastructure cost management. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will own forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis across significant operational areas, with particular emphasis on cloud infrastructure, AI-related spend, software vendors, and other major cost categories. Key responsibilities include partnering closely with Engineering and infrastructure leaders to understand cloud and AI spend drivers, translating technical consumption into financial forecasts, and identifying opportunities to improve unit economics and gross margin. You will develop reporting that makes infrastructure costs understandable and actionable, including trends, cost allocation, unit costs, utilization economics, and variance analysis. You'll help evaluate cloud commitments, reserved capacity, and vendor agreements by modeling their financial implications. You will build and operate a scalable company-wide expense-management process that gives budget owners visibility into spend and forecasts. Working cross-functionally with Accounting, Engineering, Procurement, and business leaders, you'll support monthly and quarterly reporting, budget-to-actual analysis, variance explanations, and forecast updates. You'll also contribute to company-wide planning, headcount forecasting, and management reporting alongside the Director of FP&A. The role requires developing financial models and analyses to answer critical business questions around efficiency, cost structure, gross margin, and resource allocation. You'll identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve source data, and replace manual processes with scalable solutions. Success in this role means translating financial insights into action rather than simply producing reports. Ideal candidates are self-starters who enjoy understanding cost drivers, can work effectively with technical partners, and have strong financial instincts combined with comfort working with large or imperfect datasets. You should be comfortable moving between detailed cost analysis and broader company FP&A work, understand that cost management is about helping teams make smarter tradeoffs, and thrive in the pace and ambiguity of a growing company.
