Flock Safety is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead financial modeling and strategic analysis for capital expenditure and hardware supply chain operations as the company scales its physical hardware product lines. This is a hands-on strategic finance role focused on building sophisticated financial models, optimizing inventory planning, and driving data-backed decision-making across engineering, product, operations, and sales teams.
Key responsibilities include leading financial modeling and long-range planning for all capex and hardware supply chain operations; partnering cross-functionally to evaluate capex investments and hardware deployment economics; upgrading and automating inventory forecasting models to monitor consumption trends across hardware and accessories; directing production and inventory data analysis for demand planning reviews; and identifying structural savings opportunities across capex spend while evaluating new strategic hardware initiatives.
This role is distinctly different from traditional accounting or software-focused FP&A positions. You will work embedded alongside supply chain, hardware, and engineering leaders on a daily basis, actively driving strategic modeling and influencing cross-functional business decisions rather than performing passive financial reporting.
Required qualifications include advanced financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills applied to complex, unstructured business problems; practical experience building data models in tools such as Google Sheets, Sigma, or dedicated FP&A platforms like Pigment; demonstrated track record managing cross-functional projects while collaborating effectively with business partners; experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Consulting, or related business environments; and a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business discipline. Prior experience with hardware products or supply chain operations is a plus.
Flock Safety is a 1,700-person company backed by over $1B in funding, building public safety technology that supported over 1 million criminal investigations last year and helped locate more than 10,000 missing people. The company prioritizes fast-paced execution and high-impact work.
