Salary: USD 99,000 - 132,000 / annual
Datadog is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the R&D Finance team, which supports the company's Engineering and Product organizations through financial strategy and analysis. You will report to the Senior Manager and work directly with senior technical leadership, including the co-founder and CTO, to drive decision-making around critical investments.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with senior business leaders to manage departmental budgets on a regular basis
- Manage financial forecasts and analytics covering revenue, customers, product, company expenses, and headcount/workforce planning
- Help manage significant portions of company spend, including AI and GPU infrastructure costs across the organization
- Conduct trend, ROI, and profitability analyses at both product and customer levels to support data-driven decision-making
- Support quarterly Board materials preparation, including coordination and consolidation across stakeholders
- Assist in planning and budgeting cycles, ensuring consistency in tools, templates, and processes
- Work on ad hoc strategic projects for senior management, including assessment of acquisition opportunities and negotiations with strategic partners like cloud vendors
- Become proficient with financial planning and business intelligence tools including Pigment, Tableau, and Metabase
Your work will be highly cross-functional and strategic, connecting financial insights across the organization to ensure operational alignment and inform executive decision-making.

Work Location: Hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the New York office with flexibility for the remainder.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of professional experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint with proven experience building financial models and managing complex data
- Clear, concise communicator and team player with humble mindset and can-do attitude
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid understanding of Pigment
- Experience in or understanding of consumption-based software business models
- Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
