Moritz (Arcline AI) is an AI-native law firm reimagining legal services delivery through software and structured expertise. As Founding Commercial Attorney, you'll be a core member of the founding team shaping the company's product strategy and go-to-market approach.
You will own commercial legal work end-to-end, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSAs, commercial contracts, NDAs, and other core agreements. Beyond traditional legal practice, you'll build, test, and refine the company's US product from a legal perspective, evolving core templates and playbooks that drive scalability. You'll partner directly with founders to design legal workflows that improve product adoption and growth, and provide strategic guidance on US commercial and corporate matters as the company scales.
This is a high-ownership role in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment backed by Y Combinator. You'll work directly with customers to transform complex legal workflows into repeatable, scalable processes.
Required: 4+ years of commercial/contracts law experience at a leading law firm or in-house at a major tech company or growth startup. Deep experience drafting and negotiating contracts and MSAs. JD and active license to practice law in NYC or SF (non-negotiable). Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco. You should have an entrepreneurial mindset, genuine interest in innovation and legal tech, and comfort operating in early-stage startup conditions.
