UiPath is seeking a Forward Deployed Scientist II to work on applied AI and machine learning problems in supply chain and retail optimization. You will own customer engagements end-to-end, from problem framing through solution delivery and commercial impact, working directly with some of the world's largest retailers and manufacturers on high-stakes challenges including demand forecasting, price and promotion optimization, and supply-chain decisioning.
In this role, you will apply and adapt frontier machine learning, forecasting, and optimization techniques—increasingly including agentic AI systems—to real-world problems that lack textbook solutions. You'll operate with genuine autonomy across diverse stakeholders, from data scientists to customer executives, making judgment calls to ship solutions. Your work on the front line directly feeds back into product development, shaping the capability the entire business runs on.
You'll need a strong track record applying ML and data science to commercial problems, with depth ideally in forecasting, optimization, supply-chain, or pricing domains. You should be fluent in Python and SQL, comfortable with ambiguity and direct customer contact, and able to communicate complex models to non-technical audiences. Experience with agentic systems, LLMs, or production ML is a bonus.
