Notion is seeking a Forward Deployed Architect to join its Services team in New York or San Francisco. This role sits at the center of Notion's workflow-led go-to-market motion, partnering directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and launch AI-native workflows that drive adoption and measurable business outcomes. You will own customer engagements end-to-end, from discovery through launch. This includes understanding customer business goals, operating processes, technical environments, and adoption barriers, then translating that context into scalable Notion architectures. You'll be hands-on across discovery, solution design, workspace architecture, workflow build, AI implementation, launch planning, adoption, and handoff. Key responsibilities include: partnering with customers to translate business goals into clear solution designs and Notion implementations; designing scalable workspace architectures that address workflow, permission, governance, integration, and AI use cases; designing and deploying AI-native workflows using Notion AI, custom agents, automations, Workers, and the Developer Platform; helping customers navigate change through adoption plans and enablement materials; identifying repeatable patterns and converting them into packaged solutions and templates; serving as a trusted advisor simplifying complex technical requirements; partnering cross-functionally with GTM, Product, Engineering, and PMM teams; and creating clear implementation plans and success measures. Required qualifications: 5+ years in tech services, consulting, solutions architecture, implementation, customer engineering, or similar customer-facing roles. You need proven ability to translate ambiguous customer goals into clear workflows and implementation plans; strong consultative discovery skills; hands-on AI builder mindset with experience using AI tools for real business workflows; technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data models, automation, and enterprise systems (no production coding required); strong experience delivering implementations that drive adoption and long-term value; excellent project and engagement management skills; exceptional communication abilities; strong executive presence and customer judgment; and bias toward action in fast-changing AI-native environments. Nice to have: experience designing or deploying AI agents. The role is hybrid, with office presence required Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Anchor Days) at either the San Francisco or New York office.
