Scentbird operates two distinct brands with different demand models: Scentbird (fragrance subscription with subscriber-driven forecasting) and Drift (design-forward scent brand sold through wholesale, retail, and DTC channels). The company manages a combined $42M+ inventory position, making accurate forecasting critical to purchasing decisions and working capital management.
As Forecast Analyst, you will be the analytical engine behind demand planning, working directly with the Sr. Manager of Forecasting and Demand Planning. Your primary responsibility is maintaining, improving, and executing SKU-level forecasts across both brands—keeping data clean, models current, and S&OP inputs ready monthly without gaps.
Key responsibilities include: maintaining statistical forecasts across 10,000+ SKUs using exception-based review to prioritize material deviations and high-impact demand exceptions; reviewing, updating, and validating forecast outputs in Netstock to reflect sales history, demand signals, promotions, launches, and assumptions; identifying unusual outputs or discrepancies and investigating root causes before they impact purchasing; reconciling promotional impacts and demand adjustments; documenting S&OP inputs and ensuring agreed-upon changes are accurately reflected; and collaborating with demand planning and cross-functional teams to keep forecast data accurate and reliable.
This role focuses on applying, evaluating, and continuously improving forecasting methods in a complex operating environment rather than developing algorithms from scratch. It is ideal for someone 1-3 years into a supply chain career who is highly organized, analytically curious, and understands that reliable forecasting depends on disciplined execution and attention to detail. The role requires strong data management skills, comfort with forecasting tools (Netstock experience valued), and the ability to work independently while coordinating across teams.
