Revolut is a fintech powerhouse serving 80+ million customers globally with products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The Financial Crime team combines regulatory expertise with data-driven analysis to ensure products meet legal requirements while delivering customer value.
As a Financial Crime Analyst, you'll investigate customer activity and financial crime risks in a fast-moving digital environment. You'll use transaction monitoring systems to identify red-flag patterns such as structuring, layering, and unusual cross-border flows. Conduct deep-dive research using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and adverse media tools to assess reputational and FinCrime risk associated with high-risk individuals and businesses.
Key responsibilities include validating the legitimacy of wealth and fund origins by analyzing documentation against customer profiles, drafting high-quality unusual activity reports, and providing guidance on high-risk onboarding decisions. You'll recommend client relationship exits when activity falls outside risk appetite, support other teams with front-line compliance expertise, and contribute to calibrating monitoring rules and thresholds to reduce false positives while detecting evolving criminal typologies.
The role supports 24/7 coverage with night and weekend shifts (fully compensated). You'll collaborate with colleagues internally and externally to solve cases and deliver outstanding customer experience.
Required: Bachelor's degree, fluency in English and Spanish (C1+ level), 2+ years of FinCrime experience or 1+ years in AML/FIU/similar investigation fields using risk-based approaches. Must understand financial crime red flags and typologies, have experience with suspicious activity reports, familiarity with investigative methodologies and analytical tools (spreadsheets, filters, pivots, network charts), critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to multitask under pressure.
Nice to have: Law or STEM degree, industry certifications (ICA/ACAMS), additional language fluency.
