Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator, is seeking a Financial Planner to join their high-performing team of client-obsessed financial professionals. With over 4 million Canadian clients and $155 billion in assets under administration, Wealthsimple offers a comprehensive suite of financial products including managed investing, trading, cryptocurrency, tax filing, and spending/saving solutions.
In this role, you will guide clients through their entire financial journey by engaging in meaningful conversations that explore the deeper motivations behind their financial goals. You'll translate discovery into holistic investment, tax, and retirement strategies, using exceptional communication skills to build trust and drive asset consolidation. Success requires translating complex financial advice into clear, actionable guidance that encourages clients to take confident steps toward their financial objectives.
Key responsibilities include: conducting in-depth financial conversations to understand client goals and motivations; delivering personalized financial planning through rigorous follow-up via phone and video; driving asset consolidation through goal-based advice; owning performance metrics including activity and consolidation targets; and leveraging technology to enhance client experience and accessibility.
You bring a mandatory CFP designation and at least 4 years of financial planning experience with direct asset consolidation responsibilities. You demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of high performance in fast-paced, sales-oriented environments. Your genuine passion for financial planning is paired with exceptional communication skills that simplify complex topics. You possess natural curiosity to understand client motivations and long-term aspirations, and you embrace technology and AI to improve processes and client outcomes. Bilingual French capability is a strong asset.
