As BU Financial Performance Manager for APAC, you will serve as the finance leader for Japan and the wider APAC region, acting as a trusted business partner to local leadership and global stakeholders. This is a highly autonomous role requiring expertise across the full spectrum of finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all finance activities across Japan and APAC, serving as a strategic partner to regional and global stakeholders
- Drive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and long-term business planning
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability
- Partner with business leaders to support decision-making and enhance financial performance across functions
- Lead monthly closing activities and oversee cash flow, working capital, cost control, and financial risk management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, financial regulations, and internal controls
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, accounting firms, tax authorities, and external partners
- Drive process optimization, automation, and scalable ways of working, leveraging external providers where appropriate
- Foster strong collaboration between local and global teams, aligning Japanese business requirements with Exotec's global framework
Requirements:
- Experienced Finance leader with strong background in international companies operating in Japan
- Broad finance expertise across FP&A, controlling, accounting, compliance, treasury, and business partnering
- Fluent Japanese required; native Japanese is a strong plus (N2+ proficiency minimum, N1 preferred)
- Fluent English at C1+ level
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across cultures and functions
- Comfortable operating as a stand-alone finance leader with hands-on, versatile mindset
- Pragmatic and business-oriented, with focus on efficiency, automation, and profitability
- Experience leading change and supporting organizational transformation is highly desirable
- Ability to balance local business needs with global processes and ways of working
