Remodel Health is a health benefits platform that personalizes insurance experiences for employees across organizations ranging from faith-based nonprofits to large enterprises. The Financial Operations Specialist will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and premium payments on behalf of members toward their health insurance plans.
Key responsibilities include processing premium payments through multiple channels (manual online payments, automated phone systems, ACH withdrawals), assisting with billing functions such as invoice generation and cost adjustments, and performing audits to verify payment accuracy and member status compliance. The role requires utilizing multiple systems to problem-solve, review, and audit data, with a focus on identifying process efficiency and automation opportunities to improve accuracy and speed.
You will provide support and guidance to the operations team on payment and billing questions, collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Advisement, Product/Engineering, and Launch teams, and contribute to a positive, cooperative workplace culture.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, high attention to detail and organizational skills, accounting knowledge or understanding of formula-based calculations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Power BI), Google Workspace, QuickBooks or similar accounting software, and Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Experience with payroll processing or banking is a plus. An Indiana Health License is preferred.
This is a hybrid role based in downtown Indianapolis, requiring in-office presence four days per week with Fridays as work-from-home.
