Adyen is a financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for global enterprises like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft.
As a Finance Support Specialist, you will be an expert on Adyen's finance and treasury platform, serving as the primary point of contact for merchants and commercial teams on financial-related issues. You will work within an international team operating on a follow-the-sun model across time zones, supporting merchants globally in maximizing their use of Adyen's financial products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for merchants and commercial teams on financial matters, providing both reactive and proactive communication
- Educate and advise merchants' financial teams on how to gain maximum value from Adyen's platform, products, and features
- Analyze merchant pain points and collaborate closely with Adyen's Finance Product and Development teams to improve existing products or build new solutions
- Facilitate merchant operations and growth through deep knowledge of banking processes behind payments
- Advise product teams on development priorities based on merchant feedback
The role is part of a merchant-focused, highly motivated team that thrives on shared success. You will leverage extensive knowledge of banking and payments processes to support both merchants and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with exposure to financial products (issuing, business accounts, capital/business financing) in a banking or Fintech environment
- Strong analytical skills with interest in financial products for the payments industry
- Ability to quickly become familiar with internal accounting systems
- Strong commercial acumen and comfort with direct merchant contact
- Ability to make quick informed decisions under pressure and prioritize based on urgency and necessity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
- Demonstrated track record of successfully handling ambiguity and uncertainty
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
