Moody's is seeking a Financial Data Specialist to join the Ratings Operations and Control – Data & Analytics team in Gurugram. This role supports the credit analysis function by performing financial data analysis, statement spreading, and research services that feed into ratings and fundamental analysis.
Key responsibilities include analyzing financial statements and data from issuers, performing financial statement spreading with Korean language expertise, adjusting reported data per methodology requirements, and reviewing/analyzing financial ratios and indicators. You will create documentation, develop dashboards and reporting capabilities, and work directly with ratings analysts and accounting specialists to understand data requirements and support the rating process.
The role offers opportunities to lead process improvements, identify automation opportunities, and mentor junior team members on straightforward tasks. You'll work in a fast-paced environment supporting internal stakeholders across the ratings and research teams.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of relevant work experience, graduate or postgraduate degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics), and TOPIK Level 4 or above Korean language certification. Strong financial statement analysis skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups), and attention to detail are essential. Preferred skills include SQL, Python, Power BI, and Power Automate for data analytics and automation.
You should be organized, dependable, able to multitask, display initiative, and work independently. Stakeholder management and project management capabilities are important for success in this role.
